Planning for a Mathematics lesson

Welcome to planning. When you plan a Mathematics lesson remember these tips:
  1.  Use activities wherever possible
  2. Let students see how a formula is derived. Do not directly give the formula
  3. Connect Mathematics to real life
  4. Use varied intelligences eg songs (Musical Intelligence), games and manipulatives (kinesthetic intelligence)  , reasoning (logical intelligence), worksheets to be shared ( interpersonal intelligence) charts, teaching aids (visual intelligence) See a complete lesson plan using Multiple Intelligences
  5. The 5 E approach is wonderful
