Ideas for Experiential Learning ( submitted by Malvia Dias 2018-20 batch)
Our students in action
Jonella Gonsalves with pictograms
Anthony Dias demonstrating a manipulative to teach five and six digit numbers. Students can form numbers by rotating the strips under each place value. Well done Anthony!
Anthony's creation on Broomstick Multiplication
Anthony used tangrams to corelate Mathematics with craft while teaching about properties of quadrilaterals. students prepared impressive designs with tangrams.
GEOBOARD
A Geoboard is an inexpensive device to introduce concepts in Mathematics. Unnati Patil (2013-14 batch) is seen here demonstrating various concepts in Algebra, Arithmetic and Geometry ranging from Class I to Class X . She bagged the first place in a teaching aids competition held at Saraswathi College of Education and Research, Dombivili.
Congrats Unnati!

Here is an idea for adding spice to evaluation of a concept. Get the students pin the right star onto each apple.
Match the star to the apple |
Teaching Aid for Classification of angles prepared by Ronalee Gonsalves... Students had to identify which type of angle the selected chit contained and stick it on the right tree.
Learning Resources made by students
Larisa Rebello demonstrating the use of the learning resource. The resource can be used to prove various properties of quadrilaterals and can also be sued to prove properties of parallel lines and transversals. There are protractors at each vertex of the quadrilateral and these can be used to measure the angles. The shape of the quadrilateral is alterable. Well done Larisa!
It was fun to take up a topic with such an interesting teaching aid....which helped the students in understanding.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed preparing the teaching aids for the enrichment of the lessons. The teaching aid is made at low cost. It is made from the waste material and recycled. Teaching aid helps student to understand concept very well. Thank you to all the teachers for their enriched guidance.
ReplyDeleteWelcome Anthony. Our pleasure to see our students innovations.
ReplyDeleteThank you for such wonderful ideas. This really helped me and also my students to understand the concept
ReplyDeleteSuch a good idea for geometry
ReplyDeleteAl project very nce and innovative
